This report aims to construct licenced CB UHF radio receptors in Cape York that will enhance communication capability for proactive burn and wildfire management. The major priority areas are in the West Coast and are associated with turtle, pig, weed and wetland management and outstation safety and communication issues.

This project will:
  • provide a system to deliver computer-based information, satellite-derived imagery and digital pictures to vehicle-based operators at remote locations
  • increase community awareness of radio towers.
