This program aims to:

• provide a basis for the Fitzroy Basin Association’s monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities
• review water quality requirements
• refine water quality models used to set water quality targets
• collect baseline water quality data at a neighbourhood catchment scale
• involve landholders and stakeholders to bring about management change at the neighbourhood catchment scale.

Neighbourhood catchment scale

Monitoring is conducted in strategic locations within Fitzroy Basin neighbourhood catchments (defined as a catchment or group of small catchments approximately 300 to 2000 km² in area).
