Brief description of sampling locations

The Groundwater Water Level Network consists of 4230 groundwater bores across Queensland.

Frequency of monitoring

Different sites in the Groundwater Water Level Network are monitored monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly. However, some are monitored more frequently depending on local conditions and needs. There are 95 bores that are continuously monitored for water level, and 33 of these are currently accessed by remote telemetry to download near-real-time data onto a web server. An additional 23 bores are intended to be upgraded with remote telemetry.
